Jeff Halman specializes in all aspects of real estate law, including: buying, selling and financing commercial, residential and industrial properties; co-ownership/joint venture agreements; commercial leasing; residential subdivision and condominium development; and real estate syndications and limited partnerships. His clients range from first time home buyers, to corporations to foreign governments. He is especially proud that he is now assisting children of clients acquire real estate.
Jeff also carries on a strong practice in estate planning and estate administration.
Jeff also maintains an active corporate and commercial practice involving incorporations and corporate maintenance; purchase and sale of businesses; shareholder and partnership agreements and general commercial agreements.
Jeff is currently a volunteer coach with the Law Society of Ontario – Coach and Advisor Network, providing guidance and assistance to real estate lawyers. For a number of years, Jeff was an instructor with the Ontario Bar Admission Course for the Real Estate Section and was the Legal Editor for the Corporate, Commercial and Real Estate chapters of the text, Legal Office Procedures (4th ed.- 2000, c. 26-44 incl.), published by Owl Publishing.
